How it all started...

Hi, I’m Kat, mum of two and a self-confessed oversupplier!

I thought I was meticulously prepared for motherhood, but nothing could prepare me for the constant leaking which lasted my entire breastfeeding journey.

I never intended to breastfeed but as soon as my firstborn Felix was born and latched on, I was hooked! Like pretty much all mums, the first days of breastfeeding were hard. But I was ”blessed” (or so I thought) with an oversupply of milk.

While I was fortunate to have enough milk to feed my son on demand, what wasn’t so great was the constant leaking which massively impacted my wellbeing.

I found myself soaking through reusable breast pads in minutes; and disposables moved constantly, bunched up, were awkward to remove in public, and were terrible for the environment.

After going through hundreds of breast pads and months of waking up having soaked through my clothes and bedsheets (when let’s face it, sleep is EVERYTHING as a new mum), I knew that there just had to be a better solution and Lesh was born!

After doing plenty of research and speaking to hundreds of mums, it was clear that this was not just my problem. Loads of you are battling with leaks on a constant basis without adequate solutions and this needs to change.

My mission with Lesh is to make breastfeeding more carefree, sustainable, and enjoyable - giving mums one less thing to think about, to focus on what truly matters xxx

Giving Back | Our Commitment

Did you know that the UK has the lowest breastfeeding rate in the world?

We know - it's unbelievable! How can a country that grants a year's maternity leave have a lower success rate than countries like the US, where their mat leave is only a quarter of that (at most)? The answer to this, heartbreakingly, is lack of support.

There is an unrealistic expectation placed on new mums that breastfeeding should be easy and come naturally, but that doesn't happen for everyone.

In many cases, with the right education and support system, breastfeeding challenges can be overcome and a positive breastfeeding outcome can be achieved.

We are dedicated to help change this by donating 1% of our profits to help fund free online breastfeeding courses so that all women have access to the early days support that's needed.
